This is a joke I’ve had in my pocket for quite a while. I use touché all the damn time, it’s a fun word to say and has many applicable situations in which it can be said. According to Wikipedia: Touché is defined as a word used to acknowledge a clever point made at someone else’s expense. An example of touché is what you say when you are having a conversation with someone and they make a point at your expense, showing why they are right and you are wrong. Though touché originated as a French term used during fencing, that art of fencing has become archaic at best.
I distinctly remember a situation where I used “Touché” in the wrong context, but I cannot for the life of me remember exactly the wrong usage. It’s incredibly difficult to come up with a “wrong context” in which to use touché because, surprisingly, you can use touché in almost any situation. Touche
