Spoiler Alert

I called this Spoiler Alert just in case anybody has been living under a rock for the past sixteen years and hasn’t seen The Sixth Sense. Even if you haven’t seen the movie, the “twist” has been referenced so much in pop culture that there should be no excuse or outrage.

The meat of this joke comes from a LONG time ago, when I was a small child and couldn’t differentiate between films and reality. Well, I COULD but not entirely. I distinctly remember watching the Swayze classic “Ghost” and there was a scene toward the end (obligatory “spoiler alert” warning) where one of the villains of the film was killed when a broken panel of glass smashed down on him.

Now, I KNEW that I was watching a film and that I wasn’t watching a documentary or anything… but I absolutely had the thought that the character was actually killed, and found it pretty morbid. My thought process was “why would somebody film themselves being killed just for a movie” and that it seemed pointless because he couldn’t spend the money he’d have made or acted in more movies.
